Social Protection, Emergency and Development Programs/Social Services and Development programs
OSSHD since 2016 has widened its scope to entertain social and development programs in addition to health program and has been implementing different social programs in an effort to contribute to the national poverty reduction work in a targeted community member thus by enabling the society to develop self-efficacy.
OSSHD under its projects targeted most vulnerable and excluded segments of the society in its social protection programs to enable them cope up with their difficulties. The social program includes Orphan and Vulnerable Childrens, People Living with HIV(PLHIV), Gender Based Violence Survivors and other vulnerable groups. A multiple of social protection engagement modalities have been and are being used by OSSHD including promotional interventions through Information, Education and Communication/Behavioral Change Communication (IEC/BCC), provision of capacity building to individuals and organizations and through direct provision of support to selected vulnerable groups of society.
