
About Gambela
OSSHD Gambella Branch Office started operation in Gambella region in 2016. Since then, OSSHD has been working closely with partner organizations, Regional Bureaus and line government offices, community and faith based organizations and beneficiaries. The branch office has been implementing different projects in the region to address social and health problems such as HIV/AIDS, sexual and gender based violence (SGBV), stigma and discrimination, sexual reproductive ill health, livelihood issues and communicable diseases.

SRH Clinical service at Drop-in Centre
The SRH (Sexual and Reproductive Health) Clinical service at the Drop-in Centre provides confidential and non-judgmental sexual and reproductive health services to individuals in need, including access to contraception, STI testing and treatment, and pregnancy options counseling. The service is staffed by trained healthcare professionals who prioritize patient comfort and well-being.

Community mobilization on SRH by youth clubs at Drop-in Centre
Youth clubs at the Drop-in Centre engage in community mobilization efforts to promote sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education and awareness. Through activities such as peer education sessions and outreach events, the youth clubs work to empower young people with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health.

Health promotion activity at School compound
The health promotion activity at the school compound aims to educate students about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention. Activities may include workshops on nutrition, exercise, and hygiene, as well as health screenings and interactive games to reinforce key concepts.

Library service at Drop-in Centre
The library service at the Drop-in Centre provides a welcoming space for individuals to access books, magazines, and other educational resources. The collection may include materials on a wide range of topics, from literacy and vocational training to mental health and personal development.

Peer educators and health professionals on HIV counseling and testing campaign preparation at Makuey Woreda
Peer educators and health professionals are working together to prepare for an HIV counseling and testing campaign in Makuey Woreda. They may collaborate on activities such as training sessions, community outreach, and logistical planning to ensure the success of the campaign and increase access to vital HIV prevention and treatment services.

Young people attend peer education session at Drop-in Centre
At the Drop-in Centre, young people attend peer education sessions to learn about a variety of health topics, including sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and substance use. These sessions are led by trained peer educators who create a safe and supportive environment for open discussion and information sharing.
